Hype Train v3 Guide

Overview

Welcome to the KickTools Hype Train Version 3! This latest version introduces an exciting new leveling and points system to enhance engagement and competitiveness in the Kick streaming community.

The Hype Train requires 21 points to activate, with points earned through subscriptions and gifted subscriptions (soon to include Kicks). A unique subscription is worth 10 points, and gifted subs work as follows:

  • Each viewer's first gifted sub during the Hype Train, whether idle or active, earns 10 points plus 1 point per sub gifted.
  • The second gift earns 5 points plus 1 point per sub.
  • Subsequent gifts earn 3 points plus 1 point per sub.

Additionally, you can earn bonus points by gifting subs in increments:

  • Gift 10 subs to earn 1 bonus point.
  • Gift 25 subs to earn 4 bonus points.
  • Gift 50 subs to earn 11 bonus points.
  • Gift 100 subs to earn 25 bonus points.

These bonus points contribute to the overall Hype Train totals, helping to incentivize both the community and streamers to gift more subs at once.

This system ensures more balance in the leaderboards, preventing a single viewer from dominating and rewarding more unique subs and gifters.

Hype Train Modes

There are two exciting modes to choose from:

  • Normal Mode: Starts with a 5-minute countdown, and each sub or gifted sub resets the timer as the train levels up. The train continues as long as subs or gifts occur within the 5-minute window.
  • Extreme Mode: Also features a 5-minute countdown but only resets the timer when a new level is reached. This mode is designed for larger streamers or those seeking a more challenging experience.

New Leaderboards

KickTools Hype Train Version 3 introduces all-new leaderboards, designed to spark activity and create hype in the streaming community. Leaderboards will track:

  • Top Train (based on points)
  • Top Sub and Gift Sub Contributors
  • Longest Hype Trains
  • Most Passengers (unique subs and gifters)

Individual streamer and viewer leaderboards will also be available. These new leaderboards aim to set new Hype Train records and drive more community engagement. The original leaderboards from previous versions will remain on the KickTools site but will be deprecated in favor of the new system.

Power Ranking

The KickTools Power Ranking system evaluates streamer performance using a weighted scoring approach, helping to identify top performers in the community. It considers various metrics to provide a comprehensive view of success. For more detailed information, check out the full guide on the Power Ranking System.
